ELSA

Adapted from Stephen Batchelor's writings and talks:

  • Embrace dukkha, AKA life, at this moment,  via gapless mindfulness.
  • Let go (or let be - like a block of wood) of compulsive, repetitive grasping.  They're products of evolution but no longer productive.
  • See the stopping of that reactivity.  A non-turbulent awareness of what's going on.  And enjoy the resultant post-turmoil peace (even before it's over).  AKA nirvana as a felt-sense clearly visible here & now.
  • Act, actualize/cultivate a way of life.  Respond: think, speak, physically act; get on with your work without being driven by habit patterns of mind.  The Goal is the Path itself.
